This Swiss Hospitality Pathway is designed for students who want an internationally recognised hospitality career while starting their journey in Sri Lanka. Through a unique collaboration between APIIT Sri Lanka, HTMi Switzerland and APU Malaysia, the programme blends Swiss standards, Asian exposure and strong local foundations into one integrated degree route. Students’ progress through hospitality certificates, diplomas and finally a BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality Management, building academic knowledge, practical skills and global mindsets step by step.
You will explore how modern hospitality works across hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism and luxury experiences, with a strong focus on service excellence and guest experience in an increasingly global industry. From food and beverage operations, rooms division and front office to marketing, finance and leadership, you will understand how each function contributes to profitable, high‑quality service delivery. Along the way, you will develop the professional behaviours, communication skills and cultural awareness needed to work with international guests, teams and brands.
Learning is grounded in real practice from day one. At APIIT and the Commercial Credit Academy, you will train in simulated hospitality environments and complete internships in Sri Lanka’s tourism and service sector. Later, by transferring to HTMi Switzerland or APU Malaysia, you will study on hotel‑style campuses and have access to internships with leading 4–5-star hotels and global hospitality companies. This combination of classroom learning, industry projects, simulations and internships ensures you graduate not just with a degree, but as a work‑ready hospitality professional prepared for careers across Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Asia and beyond.
