Innovation and enterprise lie at the heart of todays successful businesses. In a world characterised by volatility, complexity and uncertainty, leaders must know how to improvise through innovation. Our Business Management (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) degree will give you the vital experience needed to turn your entrepreneurial ideas into success, whether it is for your own company or for your employer’s. You’ll be able to think flexibly and creatively, develop a vision and know how to achieve it, and graduate with the entrepreneurial mindset required to succeed and thrive in dynamic business environments.

The course is part of our suite of Business Management degrees, which share some core modules. Other options include a more broad-based BSc (Hons) Business Management award or degrees specialising in Human Resource Management and Sustainability.

The BSc (Hons) in Business Management (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) covers the fundamentals of business. Topics include developing an entrepreneurial mindset, enterprise in practice, innovation, and entrepreneurial strategy.

The BSc (Hons) Business Management (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) can be completed as a three-year or a two-year (accelerated) full-time degree awarded by Staffordshire University, UK.

Teaching & Learning

All of our business courses will equip you with a diverse skillset in leadership and management and the latest knowledge of how business operates in the real world. You will graduate with a creative approach to problem-solving, be able to interpret and use financial data, have teamworking and persuasive communication skills, and show confidence in managing time, projects and resources.

You will be taught via a combination of lectures, tutorials, and independent study. You will use resources including books, journals and digital databases, social media resource banks and more to immerse yourself in each discipline and you will be challenged to picture what the business landscape of the future will be. To build further business links, there will also be career talks, visits and guest speakers from industry. You’ll learn from staff who bring a wealth of business experience and research expertise. 

On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BSc (Hons) Business Management (Innovation and Entrepreneurship).

Admission Requirements

The minimum qualifications required for admission to the programme on the standard route are:

A. GCE Advanced Level

  • Sri Lankan: 3 passes or
  • London, Cambridge or Edexcel : 3 D passes or
  • Any combination totalling to 12 points from the following tariff scheme:

A. GCE Advanced Level (Sri Lankan/Edexcel/Cambridge)

  • Credit pass (Grade 4) for English

 

You may apply with pending A/L results. Applicants with additional qualifications may receive advanced entry subject to approval from Staffordshire University.
