Rangi Wathsala Dahanayake is a Lecturer in the field of Computer Science and Software Engineering, holding a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from the University of Plymouth, UK, graduating with Upper Second-Class Honours in 2021, and an MSc in Computer Science (Business Computing) from Staffordshire University, UK, awarded with Distinction in 2024.
She has been serving as a Lecturer for two years, delivering undergraduate modules including Database Design and Concepts, Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming Fundamentals, and Software Architecture. She has also worked at the University of Ruhuna and the University of Moratuwa.
Her thesis, Navigating the Confluence: Integrating Blockchain for Secure and Cost-Effective Finance, reflects her expertise in combining innovative technology with practical problem-solving. She has contributed to multiple conference publications, including the CIRS 2024 series, covering diverse topics such as automated train safety systems, IoT-based tire monitoring, advanced eye-tracking algorithms, automated grading for Sinhala language exams, smart parking solutions, wearable health monitoring devices, and web-based transit solutions for Sri Lanka.
