Ms. Onathya Wewalaarachchi is an Attorney-at-law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. Ms. Wewalaarachchi holds a Master of Human Rights and Democratization from the University of Colombo and an LL.B from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom. Ms. Wewalaarachchi served as a prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Department of Sri Lanka, gaining valuable insights into criminal prosecution. Additionally, Ms. Wewalaarachchi has contributed to the legal field through her publication of several papers on law and by regularly writing articles on various legal topics. Combining her robust academic qualifications, practical experience, and a strong commitment to justice and human rights, Ms. Wewalaarachchi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role.
