Samadhi Lewke Bandara Karunarathne received an LL.M degree (Distinction) in International Business Law, and an LL. B degree (Second Upper with Honours) from Staffordshire University, UK. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Forensic Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. She is currently pursuing an M.Phil. in Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations at the Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya. Samadhi is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka who has been engaged in civil appellate litigation for over four years. She has expanded her practical and theoretical knowledge in law by working (apprentice, intern, research assistant, Attorney-at-Law) in a variety of private and public institutions such as the Attorney-General’s Department, the Department of Public Trustee, and esteemed law firms. She is also one of the Executive Committee members of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Lawyers Guild Sri Lanka.  Samadhi has participated in law conferences and undergone special training in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) law. She is interested in fields of research such as intellectual property law, business law, information and communication technology (ICT) law, artificial intelligence law, cyber law, forensic medicine and science, and health law.
