Navini Premalal is a graduate of University of Peradeniya. She’s an Attorney-at-Law, researcher as well as a human rights advocate. She’s currently reading for her Masters in Human Rights and Multiculturalism. Her expertise lies in the areas of human rights and development, research and writing and mooting. She has represented her University in numerous international mooting competitions such as LAWASIA 2018 and VIS National rounds in 2019. Her areas of interest for research are state accountability, human rights education, media misrepresentation and stereotypes of gender roles and ethnic minorities. 

She has recently taken part and presented at the following conferences;
