Harsha Widanapathirana has obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL. B.) from the University of Peradeniya in 2016 and has been in the field of lecturing and the legal profession, as an instructing attorney, ever since.  He also possesses an LL.M. in International Business at the Cardiff Metropolitan University and holds an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA, UK). He has been conducting lectures in a number of private and governmental higher education institutions, including the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Peradeniya. He is inspired by a number of research areas, including, intellectual property law, commercial law, family law, environmental law, legal theory, and the role of law in shaping the society. He is also committed towards environmental preservation and sustainable development and acts as an active member of several environmental organizations. His main inspiration behind lecturing is the capability to assist and shape students to become individuals who can contribute to the betterment and the development of the society while respecting values such as empathy, sensitivity, justice, equality and equity.
