This BSc in Business Sustainability gives you the skills, knowledge, and practical experience to make a meaningful difference in the organisations you work with. Upon graduating, you could run your own ethical business, step into a specialist sustainability role, or advise existing companies on reducing their environmental footprint and embedding responsible practices across their operations.
You will learn how to build a sustainability strategy, addressing challenges across areas such as waste management, recycling, and sustainable supply chains. Topics also include corporate social responsibility, the impact of business on local communities, governance, and climate change, giving you a 360-degree view of what it means to lead responsibly.

You will graduate with a creative approach to problem-solving, the ability to interpret and apply financial data, strong teamwork and communication skills, and confidence in managing time, projects, and resources.
Learning is grounded in the real world. You will engage with live industry briefs, build your own consultancy to support companies on specific projects, and participate in business simulations across operations, marketing, and HR.
Teaching is delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorials, and independent study, supported by books, journals, digital databases, and social media resource banks. You will be consistently challenged to interrogate the business landscape of the future.

The breadth of this degree equips you for a growing range of specialist roles in a sector that is rapidly expanding. Graduates have entered marketing, human resource management, and operations management across the public and private sectors, and many have gone on to launch their own successful businesses. Typical specialist roles include Business Sustainability Manager, Environment Planner, Sustainability Analyst, Sustainability Consultant, and Sustainability Implementation Specialist.
Our teaching is informed by research, and modules change periodically to reflect developments in the discipline. We aim to ensure that all modules run as scheduled. If, for any reason, a module cannot be run, we will advise you as soon as possible and provide guidance on selecting an appropriate alternative. Elective modules are offered subject to demand.
