The MSc degree in Business Psychology revolves around the intersection of human behaviour and business practices. This MSc master programme aims to expose individuals from the Business stream to understand, analyse, and leverage human behaviour within organisational contexts, while also allowing individuals from the Psychology stream to apply their knowledge in managing and increasing human engagement in businesses. As a master degree MSc, it bridges two of the most in-demand disciplines in today’s workplace.
The teaching faculty in the MSc Business Psychology is expected to comprise of a panel possessing a wealth of skill and experience. During the orientation programme, we provide you details of all academic support mechanisms and guidelines. When you have doubts about your module details, you can meet the relevant Module Lecturer or Level Administrators (one staff member of Academic Administration assigned to your batch) to clear your doubts.
Support for repeat exams: If you have repeat modules, you need to meet your Level Administrator in the Academic Administration to register for repeat modules. Mental Wellbeing and Counselling Services
APIIT Student Support, Counselling and Wellbeing Services provide you information and guidance on mental wellbeing matters needing support. Our counselling services provide an opportunity to talk to someone in a confidential and non-judgmental setting, enabling you to find ways of managing or overcoming your difficulties. Psychotherapy services support you to find a healing through non-medicative non-invasive therapies, allowing you to fulfill your potential in your studies and enjoy your time at the university.
With APIIT mental wellbeing and counselling team, help yourself identify possible wellbeing deteriorations and the help available, support yourself to manage an ongoing psychological challenges while you are in the university and provide yourself a platform to talk to someone with confidentiality.

Introduction to Business Psychology explores the science behind the human mind, behaviours, and human attributes in the workplace. Students examine the components of motivation and new techniques to motivate people at work, theories of learning that can be applied in business transformation, why people forget and how to improve memory, and the concept of cognitive dissonance and its implications for brand marketing.
Contemporary Psychology in Business covers understanding the new employee, transitions at the workplace, how loyalty and conformity work at work, and managing diversity, stress, and resilience. The module also examines how perceptions can be influenced in the purchasing of brands, the concept of selective perception and its implications for business, how attitudes can be changed and measured over time in an organisation, and the implications of attitude for corporate campaigns and brand communication.
Behavioural Psychology and Wellbeing examines the science behind personality traits, the psychology of people management, coaching your team, the use of psychometrics to measure subjectivity, and behaviour models and cognition. The module also explores group influence on individual behaviour, how communications can be made more impactful, the concept of absolute threshold and its implications for business, and how personality traits influence leadership strategies.
Society and the Mind covers balance theory at work, cognitive dissonance that can tilt boss–subordinate relationships, managing new generations of employees such as Gen Z and Gen Alpha, teamwork, and how complex principles like status and roles impact team performance. The module also looks at inspiring ethics at work, mediation, and how social class classifications influence the types of products and services purchased.
Cross Cultural Leadership and Management addresses mapping the business environment, inclusion, measures of culture in the workplace, leading and following as needed, and the B2B model at the workplace. Students also explore what culture is and the components that must be understood when practising international marketing, and how culture can have an impact on global branding strategies.
Personal and Organisational Effectiveness covers managing team conflicts; training, developing, and mentoring the team; motivation for productive output; directing a team toward organisational goals; and the use of technology and AI at work. The module also examines the Hawthorne studies and their implications for leadership, alongside the different models for B2B marketing success.
Research Methods introduces students to conducting business research, the scientific method of surveying, and qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection. The module also examines how qualitative data collection takes place and how the data can be analysed.
Dissertation focuses on resolving a practical gap in the student’s organisation and exploring how psychological principles can be applied to improve organisational performance.

Team dynamics and deliberation also will be discussed giving exposure to today’s collaborative work environments, group cohesion, conflict resolution, communication strategies, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
Consumer Behaviour and Marketing that explores consumer motivations, attitudes, and purchasing decisions, essential for successful marketing strategies will also be among the areas of teaching. Leadership and Organizational Behaviour is also embedded in the programme giving knowledge of leadership styles, emotional intelligence, and organizational behaviour, enabling you to lead teams and drive organizational change.
Workplace Well-being and Stress Management including stress management, work-life balance, and organizational support systems, promoting a healthy and productive workforce are among further areas of study.
The researching component together with ethical considerations including understanding the ethical implications of business decisions, research ethics will also be explored. The programme further provides you with exposure in Social Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Educational and Occupational Psychology.
