Mahidi Prasansa Paranavithana is a First Class Honours graduate in Law from the University of Staffordshire, having completed her degree at APIIT Sri Lanka. She is currently reading for a Master of Laws at the University of Colombo, further strengthening her academic and research expertise in emerging legal fields.
Mahidi’s research interests centre on Artificial Intelligence and cyber law. In 2025, she presented her research paper titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Evolution of Cybercrimes: Investigating Legal Challenges and Regulatory Responses” at the APIIT International Research Conference (AIRC) 2025, earning an award in appreciation of her contribution. She was also recognised with an Award and Certificate of Excellence in Presentation on Artificial Intelligence by APIIT Law School.
In 2026, Mahidi joined the APIIT Alumni Association, with a strong commitment to fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful engagement within the alumni community.
