Dr. Hasuli Perera

Dr. Hasuli Perera graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (First Class Honours), majoring in Management and International Business, and was recognized in the Dean’s Honour List. She went on to pursue a PhD at Monash University in Organizational Behaviour.
Dr. Hasuli teaches a number of modules across different levels. These include Human Capital Management for first-year students, Managing Across Cultures for second-year students, and Authentic Leadership, Business Ethics, and Change and Transformation for final-year Business students.Prior to joining APIIT, she was Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead of the MSc in Business and Organisational Psychology degree awarded by Coventry University at its partner institute in Sri Lanka.
Research is her true passion and forte, and she enjoys helping students discover the same. Her primary research focuses on the employee-organization relationship in the international context, with a particular focus on psychological contracts and expatriate management. Her recent papers have been published in top-ranked academic journals such as Human Resource Management (Wiley) and The International Journal of Human Resource Management. Having supervised a number of student research projects in the fields of HRM and OB, her research portfolio now extends to employee well-being and career-related behaviors of students. Outside the academic curriculum, she encourages students to pursue their interests to ensure holistic development. To this end, she plays the role of Patron of the APIIT Toastmasters Club.
