Law Foundation
The Law Degree Foundation is an APIIT award approved by Staffordshire University, UK as an entry qualification for the LLB (Hons) Law degree offered at APIIT. It is designed to inculcate study practices based on sound educational principles. The programme introduces students to Law while developing their English language, communication and IT skills, and some preliminary legal skills.
The Law Degree Foundation prepares students with GCE O/L qualifications for direct entry to the LLB (Hons) Law Degree offered at the APIIT Law School. Furthermore, the Law Degree Foundation provides a pathway for students with insufficient GCE A/L qualifications to enter the Law degree programme.
Teaching and Learning
A diverse range of teaching strategies including lectures, group discussions, presentations, assignments, exercises and video case studies are used to develop students’ knowledge and competencies in relation to fundamentals in Law. Students are trained to work both in groups and independently during their course of study. The programme is also designed to impart an awareness of the context in which law operates and instil a culture of professional outlook and behaviour.

Admission Requirements
The qualifications required for admission are five (5) passes including a Credit pass for English at the GCE Ordinary level examination or equivalent qualification acceptable to APIIT / Staffordshire University.
Academic Progression
Students who successfully complete the Law Degree Foundation are eligible to enter the LLB (Hons) Law Degree Programme.
