Deshamanya Dr Rohantha Athukorala

One of the top business personalities in Sri Lanka with 17 years experience working for top multinationals- Unilever, ReckittBenckiser and Hindustan Lever in Bombay. He went on to Head Portfolio Development for the United Nations( UNOPS) for Sri Lanka and the Maldives for a 5-year tenure.

Successive governments have appointed Dr. Athukoarala top pivotal positions to drive the Sri Lankan economy – Chairman Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Chairman Sri Lanka Tourism, and Chairman Lanka Sathosa the largest supermarket chain in Sri Lanka. He then went on to Head the key policy-making body in the Ministry of Finance- The National Council For Economic Development( NCED).

Twice winning the ‘ Best Marketer’ award by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Business Achiever award by PIM Alumni, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, and the ‘ Abdul Kalam award for outstanding leadership in the state sector. He is a Rotarian and twice he won the ‘ Outstanding Rotarian of the year award’ and in 2021 a Global award by Rotary International for ‘People of Action’.

Academically, a double degree in Marketing, MBA, and a doctorate in business. He is an alumnus of Harvard University. A columnist for Daily FT and sought-after speaker in Sri Lanka and Internationally. Currently, he heads a top 50 emerging IT company of India – Clootrack Software Labs for Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Pakistan.
